Bribie Island STP – Clarifier Upgrade

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This design and construction contract of the new secondary clarifier at the Bribie Island Sewerage Treatment plant.

The project involved:

• Demolition and removal of an existing clarifier which had floated during maintenance,
• Construction of the replacement clarifer which included extensive dewatering and piles to hold down the new structure.

The scope also included:

• Refurbishment of clarifers 2 and 3,
• New balance tanks and pump stations
• New roadworks, electrical works, control systems and commissioning of the plant.
